Reservoir Engineer

A reservoir engineer is concerned with underground oil and gas reserves, specifically finding the most efficient way to extract their resources. The reservoir engineer can work through all phases of a well’s lifespan, from helping petroleum geologists find well sites, through field development, planning, forecasting, testing and drilling. Petroleum Engineer라고도 하며, 지표면(해저면) 아래의 유정 및 가스층을 탐사하고, 유정의 위치 및 성질을 파악하여 석유 및 가스를 효율적으로 생산하는 방법을 고안하는 업무를 수행한다.
